1920’s Gatsby inspired broad headband. The Gatsby headband is worn low on the forehead covering the ears and sitting on the nape of the neck. The style of the era was comfortable yet elegant and feminine. Hand crafted corded petals with pearl centres adorn the Gatsby headband. The finishing flourish is created by feathers along the back of the headband.
The hairstyle in this era was the bob. Throughout the ages long hair was considered a symbol of feminine beauty. In some periods it had been covered or even cut shorter but it was not until the 1920’s that the bobbed hairstyle was universally accepted by woman. Femininity was suppressed so that independence could be asserted. This Gatsby style headband accentuates that look.
Brown & Beige Lycra front, elasticated at the back, one size fits all.
