The Mortein Mascot is formed like a Mortein insect spray can. The can style costume was designed to have the same proportions as a real Mortein can.  The original Mortein container artwork is perfectly replicated.  Hence, the front and back view of the original can are the front and back of the mascot can. The Mortein mascot and was printed onto ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) sheet and then fabricated into a single mascot costume.

There is an aluminium inner structure that supports the can and forms integral shoulder straps to better distribute the weight of the costume for the person who is carrying/wearing it. This method of construction results in a more comfortable wearing experience for the user.

The headpiece was made to look like a nozzle.  Worn with a lycra unitard.  The shoes are outsized and made from sponge.  Rubber soles are shaped to make walking easier.
